Revolving
Loan Fund One of the projects administered by
NEWEDC is a revolving loan fund. Through its Revolving Loan Fund
(RLF) NEWEDC seeks to assist existing small businesses with expansion
projects. Funds for the RLF have been
provided by the United States Department of Agriculture - Rural
Development. The loans will provide below market rates and
competitive terms. Maximum loan amount will be $10,000. The
funds from the RLF program can be used to finance projects such as
marketing assistance, equipment purchases, technical assistance
projects, supplies and inventory purchases, or security deposits for
office space. For
more information about the RLF please contact NEWEDC.
*USDA Rural Development is an equal opportunity lender. Mutual
Self-Help Housing Project NEWEDC has teamed up with
the USDA Rural Housing Service to bring a Mutual Self-Help Housing
program to the NEWEDC area. This program
applies to families of very low-, low- and moderate-income levels and
has easy qualification requirements. For example, a family of four could make
aproximately $40,050 and still be eligible for this
program. No down payment is required and payments do not begin
until the construction of the home is complete. Due to the
nature of and interest in the program two target communities, Upton
and Newcastle, have been selected to participate in this
program. For more information please contact NEWEDC.
*NEWEDC provides Equal Housing Opportunities. Workforce
Development Training Grants Created in the 1997
General Session of the Wyoming Legislature, the Workforce Development
Training Grant has been successful in filling training gaps in high
demand occupations throughout Wyoming. The
WFD Training Grants have been used
by new and existing Wyoming businesses to meet their individual
training needs for newly hired or current employees. The
training fund has enabled these participating businesses to grow,
reduce turnover, meet mandatory skill upgrades, and has helped communities
attract and retain businesses, according to a news release from the
director of the Department of Workforce Services Kathy Emmons, in
November. For more information and the most current
qualifications for this grant please contact NEWEDC. |
