SCHOOLS IN DOUGLAS have a
total enrollment of 1,660 students attending two elementary schools
(K-2), one intermediate school (3-5), one middle school (6-8), one
high school (9-12) and 6 rural schools (K-8). The pupil to
teacher ratio is 12:1.
SCHOOLS IN GLENROCK have a total
enrollment of 783 students attending one elementary school (k-4),
middle school (5-8), high school (9-12) and rural school. The
pupil to teacher ratio is 11:1. Enrollment includes Rolling
Hills students with door-to-door bus pick-up and delivery.
Higher Education:
Community and adult education programs are offered through Eastern Wyoming College in
Douglas and in Glenrock for students seeking higher education foundation and vocational
training in broad fields. College courses through the University of Wyoming at Casper are
available to commuters. Casper is 24 miles from Glenrock and 50 miles from Douglas. In
addition, the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas provides training to law
enforcement agencies state-wide and provide training programs for civilians pursuing law
enforcement careers. Private
technology and workforce training is also available in Douglas. |
