Casper, WY, the Natrona County seat was recently singled out as the #1 small metro area for cost of doing business by Forbes magazine.  

Casper, Wyoming was settled on the banks of the Platte River in the late 1800's. As the point of convergence for all major westward trails -Oregon, Mormon, Bridger, Bozeman, and Pony Express - the community developed as a crossroads to the West and North West.

Natrona county has a vast and varied history, from the Teapot Dome scandal to the oil and gas fields. Wyoming with its natural beauty and the history have attracted movie makers  from John Wayne movies to science fiction movies. 

 

A short drive from Casper, the county seat of Natrona County can lead a person to Independence Rock, Mormon's Ferry or to scenic Hell's Half-acre.  Within a day's drive from Casper is Yellowstone National Park and Teton National Park.
