Medical Facilities:
Two medical clinics service the
Lusk area, open Monday through Friday.
Currently the hospital and nursing home are undergoing renovations,
closed in the spring of 2000, it is to re-open in the fall of 2004.
The new Niobrara Health and
Life
Center
will include a 24/7 Emergency Room, 4 Acute Care beds, and 20 long
term care beds. It will also include a Rural Health Clinic and
will offer laboratory and radiology services.

RESOURCES |
Day Care: Lusk has two licensed day care centers and numerous
private day care centers.
Senior Citizens' Center And Senior Housing are
available in Lusk.
Churches: Churches of various faiths
and denominations serve Niobrara County.

| Museum And Cultural Attractions:
Stagecoach Museum, Texas Trail Marker, Mother Featherlegs Monument, Last Indian War,
George Lathrop's Grave Monument, Railroad Redwood Water Tower and the Historic Hat Creek
Stage Station. Library: The public library has a
total of 35,000 volumes.

PARKS AND RECREATION |
| Recreational Facilities: The County
Fairground has been the social hub of Niobrara County for more than 50 years. The facility
is used by county residents for approximately 260 days per year. In 1997, the County Fairground has made the
following additions: Grand Stand Arena, three meeting rooms and new kitchen facilities. |

The fairground is now fully handicap
accessible. Ranch Recreation accommodations are available. For a complete listing,

Golf Courses: The Town of Lusk features a
beautiful nine-hole golf course, which has a creek that winds its way between the greens

| SPRING: Motor Cross Bike events,
High School Musicals, PRCA Rodeo, ART's Etc., Spring Fling, swimming, horseback riding,
tennis and sightseeing. SUMMER: Niobrara Country
Club Open Golf Tournament, county fair, rodeo, Legend of the Rawhide (Second week of July
each year), Country and Western Dances, Square Dance Festival, Rawhide Art Show,
Invitational Golf Tournament, Circus.
FALL: Motor Cross Bike events, October Fest, Senior Pro
Rodeo, Hunting and Hunter/ Rancher Feed.
WINTER: ARTS Etc. Christmas Bazaar, Hospital Auxiliary's
Lights of Love Program.
